Women in Philanthropy is a group of community-minded women who have come together to impact the lives of women and girls in Black Hawk County through their voice, vision and values. Membership offers women an opportunity to engage with other community-minded individuals at quarterly luncheons, the Women’s Fund grant selection process and occasional volunteer opportunities or site visits. Through these interactions, Women in Philanthropy members discuss community issues and learn about the biggest needs for women and girls in our community.

Annual membership dues are $150 and support the Women's Fund, a permanent endowment fund held with the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa, to benefit projects supporting women and girls in the areas of education and literacy, violence and safety, health and healthcare, and poverty and homelessness. $100 is tax deductible and is also eligible for a 25% state tax credit.

Engage in the Impact

Women in Philanthropy invites members and guests to engage and learn in 2017. Quarterly meetings are held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and include lunch, business meeting and a featured guest nonprofit speaker. Members are always encouraged to bring a friend!
