Strengthening Communities Together
We develop programs that bring people together to support and learn about their communities. We are also a lead collaborator with other community-minded organizations, strengthening the nonprofit sector and creating more equitable communities.
Women for Good
Women for Good is a membership group with a mission to educate, engage, and inspire giving to improve the lives of women and girls in Black Hawk County. This program of the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa provides an opportunity for women to support other women, gain a better understanding of our nonprofit community, and network with like-minded individuals.
Teen Trust was created with a vision in mind - to prepare youth to be "trustees of their community." This program of the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa engages a diverse group of students from Black Hawk County high schools to develop philanthropic behaviors, leadership and stewardship skills, and volunteer experiences.
Advancing Equity in the Cedar Valley is a community collaborative working to dismantle barriers to equity in Black Hawk County and surrounding areas. Steering committee organizations include CFNEIA, Black Hawk County Public Health, and ONE Cedar Valley. Representatives from the business and nonprofit sector are collaborating to eliminate inequity in the areas of transportation, childcare, education and training, basic needs, and culture and language.
The Cedar Valley Nonprofit Association is a leader in nonprofit collaboration in the Cedar Valley. CFNEIA was an establishing member and continues to provide funding support to this association which strengthens and grows nonprofit agencies in our region.
Metro Funders is a voluntary alliance of Black Hawk County public and private grantmakers, including CFNEIA. The group serves as an essential provider of valuable information, training, and collaborative opportunities for both funders and grantseekers in the Black Hawk County area.
