The Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa is committed to dismantling barriers to equity with an intentional focus on advancing racial equity to create an inclusive region for all people. We will do this by listening and learning from people of color in our communities and expanding our collaboration with community partners working to end racial disparity, injustice, and inequality.

Child care is a critical component of developing healthy communities and families. High-quality child care is a right for all families, no matter race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, socio-economic status, disability, or religion. CFNEIA seeks to increase equitable, accessible, and sustainable childcare opportunities focusing on the child and providing peace of mind to families.

Building a resilient region that supports the prosperity of all employees, businesses, and local communities, especially those that have been historically under-resourced, is key to creating a sustainable workforce. The Community Foundation is collaborating with both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors to engage and prepare a diverse and qualified workforce.

Nonprofits are critical to nearly every aspect of our communities and creating a better quality of life for their residents. While already a leader in helping nonprofit organizations build capacity, CFNEIA is taking steps to expand our role by deepening connections and increasing supports and resources.
