Black Hawk County Grants
Grants are available to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and government entities. Tax-exempt organizations classified as other than 501(c)(3) are also eligible, if and only if, the project is deemed charitable; please contact our office to discuss the project’s eligibility prior to submitting a proposal. Grants selections are made in an effort to create a better quality of life for people in Black Hawk County. A local committee reviews the applications from charitable organizations serving their community.

Endow Iowa Eligible
Gifts to the 1619 Freedom School Fund (Quasi) will help support the 1619 Freedom School program which aims to increase literacy among African-American youth in the Waterloo Community School District in Waterloo, Iowa.
Gifts to the 415 Walnut Collective Fund with the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa will assist the capital campaign project to support community engagement and assist with rehabilitation costs for the Historic Walnut/Faith Temple Baptist Church building that will serve as a public space for the community.
Gifts to the 5PointOp Veteran Housing Fund with the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa helps provide support and skill building for veterans working toward housing security through the 5PointOp program.
